A VICTORIAN HOLIDAY WONDERLAND
Dickens on the Delaware showcases the retail community in the picturesque hamlet of Callicoon on the Delaware just in time for your Holiday shopping!!
Retailers, galleries and restaurants will highlight their holiday goods and dazzle town visitors with their Holiday Spirit.
Shopkeepers will be dressed in Victorian garb, with stores, restaurants and the surrounding environs decorated to create the days of yore.
Holiday Markets of Local Artisans & Seasonal Treats, Holiday Photo Studio, Caroling, Activities for Children, Free Horse & Buggy Rides, Theater Performances, Hot Chocolate, Eggnog, Spiced Wine and more!

31st Annual Callicoon Tractor Parade
Sunday, June, 7th, 2026 (TENTATIVE – Please check DYC for updates)
12:00pm – 3:00pm
The parade takes place on the second Sunday of June and kicks off at noon sharp on Lower Main Street in Callicoon!
Come enjoy the fun and make sure to stop down at the Delaware Youth Center for a yummy barbeque and snacks after the parade. Don’t miss getting a collector, Tractor Parade T-Shirt before they run out. You’ll find them on sale in town and at the Center. You’ll also find our River Run Raffle tickets for sale. Lots of great prizes, so get your tickets soon!
Note to Tractors – registration opens at 7 a.m. at the DYC. There is no fee to enter the parade, but the DYC appreciates any donation big or small that you can make to help offset the cost of putting this wonderful event on. Couple important notes:
- No parking at AGWAY please.
- You should arrive at the DYC early to drop off your tractor and register.
- Trailers and other vehicles will be directed elsewhere in town to park.
- If you are only bringing your tractor, you can enter the line up at the DYC and just drive the tractor in the parade when it starts.
- Volunteers will be on hand along the route to assist. We appreciate your full cooperation in abiding by their directions.
- Please, NO children on laps or fenders. This is just too dangerous.
- NO alcohol, and absolutely no drinking and driving. Police will be on hand to patrol, so be smart and be careful!
- NO pulling tractors – you will be asked to prove the tractor can run and that the brakes work.
- NO political signs or advertisements. The parade is for fun and not for political or commercial gain.
- And most importantly, HAVE FUN!

28th Annual Delaware Youth Center 5K River Run
Sunday, July 19th, 2025 (TENTATIVE – Please check DYC for updates)
Start Times: Walkers Race, 8:15am. 5K/10K Runners, 8:30am
The DYC River Run is one of the largest and most vital fundraisers for The Delaware Youth Center. This funding allows them to operate the facility and keep the Youth Center open for another generation of Callicoon-area kids.

The DYC thanks all their sponsors and participants and extends a very special thank you to the entire Winglovitz team and family for their huge outpouring of support in memory of Gary Winglovitz. The community greatly appreciates all you have done to honor Gary’s memory and to support the DYC!
All proceeds will benefit the Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon, NY.

- Distances: 5K Run/Walk; 10K Run; and Virtual Run/Walk
- Time: Walker start time 8:15; Run start time 8:30

- T-shirts guaranteed for the first 400 registrants
- Award ceremony and raffle drawing at 10:00am on race day
- Awards for top three Female/Male runners and by age group
- Awards for top three Female/Male walkers
- Packet pickup on Saturday, July 20th 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Delaware Youth Center
- Same day registration 7:00am – 8:00am
- Bagels and fruit after the race
- Strollers are allowed; Dogs are not allowed
Gary Winglovitz Virtual Race
The Gary A. Winglovitz Virtual Race began in 2019, named for one of our own: Gary Winglovitz, a kid who grew up in Cochecton and spent his childhood at the Delaware Youth Center. Gary died in 2014 at 41, and his family and friends have come out in force ever since to run the River Race in his memory. The Youth Center and community would like to thank the Stewart/Winglovitz family for their support and generosity.

- Share photos of your virtual run, and tag the Delaware Youth Center on social media
- Support the Delaware Youth Center from anywhere in the world!

- Want to record your time? You’ll receive an email about a week before the race with instructions, and a link to the results page to see how you placed. Don’t want to upload your time? That’s fine too!

Callicoon Country Fair
Saturday, July 25th, 2026 (TENTATIVE)
10:00am – 5:00pm
Callicoon Country Fair is a hamlet-wide event in beautiful Callicoon on the Delaware, NY!
It’s a full day of live local entertainment, shopping, dining, kids’ activities and more!
Musical performances will be intermingled with vendors from throughout the region. Local farms, artisans and craftsmen will be selling their wares.
The event features a children’s section in Callicoon Creek Park with FREE Pony Rides, dunk tank, bouncy house, face painting, farm animals, kids’ games and more all day long! 🐴 🎨 🎯🐐🤸♀️
Sample delicious food from twelve incredible local restaurants, including a brewery, wine bar, cocktail lounge and cidery, and be sure to save room for and tasty treats from our market vendors.
Shop unique boutiques and specialty shops and check out the artisan market for local crafts and products like hand-made charcuterie boards, tie-dye clothing, screen printing, hand-dyed fabrics, beauty products, candles, wreaths, fresh produce, arts & crafts and leather goods. There will be fashions available from sunglasses and jewelry to clothing both new and vintage. And it’s not Callicoon without loads of antiques, art and furniture.
Check out the charming Catskill town — listed on the National Historic Register!! Wander along the historic streets, view the architecture and admire the beautiful Delaware River.

Callicoon Artwalk 2026
Saturday, October 10th, 2025 (TENTATIVE)
Noon – 6:00pm
CALLICOON ARTWALK – showcases the growing art and music scene in the picturesque hamlet of Callicoon on the Delaware.
The event highlights the arts in unconventional places throughout the hamlet including storefronts, restaurants and public spaces.
Artists’ work will be exhibited starting Friday, October 10th and will remain on display throughout the weekend, culminating in a full day of activities on Saturday, October 11th, including theatre performances, film screenings, LIVE music & workshops.

In 2025, we had an incredible program with 130 Artists, Film Makers, Musicians and Performers, including visual arts exibited at 20+ locations throughout the hamlet, 10 Musical Acts on 2 stages, 2 Theatre Performances, 2 Film Screenings, – plus Workshops, Book Signings, Contests, Demonstrations, Artist Meet & Greets and so much more!

Eleventh Annual Callicoon Holiday Tree Lighting
Saturday, November 28th, 2025 | 5:00pm
Callicoon’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting is our official start the holiday season, that we celebrate together as a community. – starting at 5:00pm at the Callicoon Train Depot.
Join the Callicoon Business Association + Special Guest Host, Jenn Clarke from 98.3 WSUL for the festivities.
There will be a Bonfire with FREE S’mores for the kiddos, a Hot Chocolate Bar, Performances from the Sullivan West High School Select Choir + a special Visit from Santa! 
Start your Holiday Shopping and Visit our Local Shops & Eateries for Small Business Saturday.
We hope to see you at this Festive Holiday Event, hosted by the Callicoon Business Association.

We will once again be helping to collect toys for the Sullivan West Elementary School PTSO ‘Holiday Toy Drive’. 
Bring a NEW (unwrapped) toy or other appropriate item* (see details below)
* SW Toy Drive provides gifts for children in our school district from families that need help during the holiday season.
Suggested items: Board games, Legos, Craft sets, Sports- football, basketballs etc.; Tween items; Toys for children ages 1yr-4yrs; Make up / Hair sets; Youth Books; Discovery Sets; Clothing such as gloves, coats, pajamas. (anything that would be an appropriate gift for a child grades Pre-K thru 6th)
